Three distribution companies, three different processes
Rajasthan is not served by one utility. Which DISCOM your connection sits under decides the net-metering application, the sanctioned-load rules and who inspects the plant before it can be commissioned.

Why it matters
A design that works in Jaipur is not automatically right in Bikaner
The modules are the same. Almost nothing else is.
Generation varies by around 10% across the state
Western Rajasthan delivers materially more per installed kW than the south-east. Modelling a Udaipur project on Jodhpur numbers overstates savings by nearly a tenth — which is enough to move a payback calculation by a year.
Soiling conditions are completely different
City rooftop dust, agricultural dust, quarry dust, marble slurry and desert sand each need a different cleaning interval and a different array access design. This is the largest controllable loss in a Rajasthan solar plant.
The local economy decides the load curve
A Kota hostel, a Kishangarh marble unit, an Alwar factory and a Chomu cold storage consume in completely different shapes. Capacity should follow the load curve, not the roof area.
Structure and wind loading are site-specific
An open desert site, a highway corridor and a dense city rooftop impose different wind loads. Mounting design is calculated for the site rather than copied from a standard drawing.
Whichever city you are in, the scope is the same: turnkey solar EPC, rooftop solar installation and full PM Surya Ghar subsidy handling.

Which cities in Rajasthan does Dvaitam cover for solar installation?
Jaipur is our base and our densest service area. Beyond it we work across Chomu, Govindgarh, Shahpura, Neem Ka Thana, Sikar, Alwar and its industrial belt at Bhiwadi and Neemrana, Ajmer and Kishangarh, Jodhpur, Kota, Udaipur and Bikaner. For projects outside these areas we will say so at enquiry stage rather than stretching to cover a site we cannot service properly afterwards.
Does it matter which DISCOM my property falls under?
It matters a great deal. Rajasthan has three distribution companies — JVVNL, AVVNL and JdVVNL — and each runs its own net-metering application, sanctioned-load verification and inspection process. Filing under the wrong one, or applying with the wrong forms, is one of the most common causes of a multi-week delay. We confirm the correct DISCOM from your bill before anything is submitted.
Do you charge more for installations outside Jaipur?
Distance affects logistics and mobilisation, and where it does we say so in the proposal rather than hiding it in a per-watt rate. What does not change is the engineering scope: the same survey, the same design standards, the same testing and the same documentation, whether the site is in Mansarovar or in Bikaner.
Will you maintain a system installed 300 km from your base?
Yes, and we design for it. Distant systems are specified for robustness and low intervention, monitoring is configured at handover so faults are visible to us remotely, and the O&M documentation is written so routine work can be done by a competent local team. Response commitments are agreed in writing before the contract, not improvised after a fault.
Does location change how much electricity a solar system generates?
Yes, by roughly 10% across our service region. Western Rajasthan — Jodhpur and Bikaner — delivers around 1,700–1,780 kWh per kWp per year. Jaipur and the Shekhawati belt sit near 1,550–1,700, and Udaipur and Kota nearer 1,520–1,620 because of heavier monsoon cloud. Every location in Rajasthan is a strong solar site by national standards; the differences matter for modelling, not for whether solar is worth doing.
